Is anytrades dying?

Now frankly, I never really saw this site in its prime. I joined, and I'm told, it just started rolling down hill slightly before that.
How comes? What can be done?
It just seems such a waste... I personally really h8 shoddy (Ducks and covers) and I know some people might say the lack of a server on this site is to blame, but no one comes on any more.
Any new ideas from anyone to try saving the site? I thought platinum might kick start things, and am hoping the gold and silver remakes will, yet would h8 for smogon to be the only place i can discuss pokemon stuffs
