My mind was blown today.

So, I was thinking about dinosuars earlier today for some reason. Anyways, an interesting and quite mind blowing thought occurred to me. Think about how long the dinosuars were around. Millions of years. Enough time for continents to move and form a completely different world from the one that was there when they first took over as "rulers" of the planet.

Now think about humans. We have been around for 4000-ish years as what could loosly be considered "ruling" the planet. Look at how far we have come technologicly and socially. Place the entire exsistance of humans (4000 years) into the estimated length of rule of the dinosuars. If we "rule" for that long just think of how inferior our technologies today are going to be in a million years. Think back to the original humans figuring out the wheel and plowing and house building. That wasn't really all that long ago in the grand scheme of things.

If we have gone from the wheel to the space ship in 4000 years, think how far we will be in another 4000. Let alone two million. We are the baby steps to something truly amazing that we will never get to see. It makes you feel utterly insiginificant and amazingly important all at the same time.

No, but it is mindblowing. It's funny how people don't really thing about things like this, but when they do, thier like, woah, that's amazing. Humans are amazing.

Anyway Nick, I've thought about this before, and I find it somewhat depressing that our generation nearly made it into an era of immortality... That's right, I think in a couple of hundred years, the majority of the world will be genetically perfect and immortal lol. 'Test tube babies' are just the beginning of a massive step for the human race imo.

ive thought about this too... :/ i dont like the thought of living forever... but i really want to see how life will be like in the future.. its so weird to think that someday people will think of us in the same way we think of our parents or grandparents. -.- man.... what id give to see the future...
