Ok so i'm attempting to turn my team into a full scale UU team, but it's going to require some tweaks. I'm hoping some of the more professional battlers can give me suggestions for different EV spreads, Movesets, or even Pokemon replacements.

Torkoal is one beast of a UU wall. Lava plume's 30% chance of burning the foe, only adds to his walling prowess. Earth Power is on this set, so he isn't walled by opposing fire types like flareon, ninetails, rapidash, and friends. He's also the team rocker, but the last slot is giving me choice problems. I could go for explosion, which will allow to do decent damage to something switching in when he's low on health. Or rapid spin to keep residual damage from racking up through the battle.

IMO, this is quite possibly one of the most lethal UU wall breakers/sweepers in the entire tier. HP-Fire gives him a very decent weapon to use against bug types and opposing grass types that dare to stand in his way thinking they'll get past. SuperPower is there to deal with clefable, blissey, and other increasingly annoying normal walls like snorlax and friends. Seed Bomb is a very powerful STAB attack that destroys hippowdon, suicune, ttar, and swampert...to name only a FEW. Sucker Punch is an extremely powerful priority move that could mean the difference between a win and a loss for him.

Altaria is an interesting choice, and i've always wanted to try one. Altaria's meant to be the replacement for flygon when I go into UU battles. Ddance up if I can predict a switch, or a hit I know I can survive. EQ is a powerful move, but would be better on flygon when it's backed up by STAB. Outrage is a very powerful STAB move that will tear through tons of pokemon after a ddance or two. Pursuit is an interesting option, but is nice for chasing down foes that think they can switch out safely from altaria's wrath.

Protect
As if the surprise value of people seeing sableye alone won't be enough to keep them shuddering, the frustration of this set will turn them stark-raving mad. After analyzing what the foe has sent out, I make my choice of using Will-o-Wisp, or using protect to score some lefties recovery and scout out what they may do. Seismic Toss provides quick steady damage that racks up quickly. The 2nd move choice is up to whether I want a priority move that ALWAYS hits, or a priority move that only hits if the foe attacks first. Although with the added trade off of double power. Protect is there to help me spam excess leftovers recovery, and quickly rack up the burn damage ftw.

Ok, I want you to look me in the face *metaphorically* and tell me you weren't expecting a defensive claydol set right here? For those of you that doubt the pure amazing power this set holds, then I dare you to go out and test this out on your own team a couple times and tell me it either isn't good, or isn't fun. Since it's bulky, I can easily crack off a rock polish to outspeed a lot of pokemon. Then with my now epic speed, I am capable of Calm Minding up almost unhindered. Earth power and ice beam both provide very good coverage, which means the foe is going to have a hard time getting past this set. This is most likely the most powerful setup sweeper I think I have ever had the honor to use. Try it for yourself and tell me what you think if you don't believe me.

Miltank is a very bulky and effective wall in UU, and serves as my team cleric. Luckily Miltank is so reliable. Heal Bell frees the team of any hurtful status such as burns, paralysis, and toxic. Milk Drink provides quick simplistic healing that lets me stall out foes long enough to bring somebody else in safely. Seismic Toss provides a quick steady 100 damage per turn, and helps wear down foes quickly, although I might consider changing it out for a different move *any suggestions?*


So any suggestions would be greatly appreciated if you don't mind. Thanks ahead for all your suggestions I hope to receive.

really i'd give it a 9.5/10, the only thing id suggest is maybe roost on altaria or rest considering you have lum berry and/or matural cure

Roost is definitely worth it over Pursuit, and it needs more Speed. What good is Altaria if it can't outrun, say, Swellow after a single DD? Facade would OHKO. :\

Lum Berry is win. Don't bother with Rest, since you want Altaria to be able to stay in and keep those boosts.

I've been using this Altaria since the beginning of the BL/UU merger. XD

Bri this looks like a pretty solid team. I would suggest you put Rapid Spin on Torkoal because with the increasing usage of Chansey and Registeel, Regirock, and Steelix, UU Stall has become the new thing in UU.

Definitely go Wish on Chimecho. The instant recovery is a great way to stall out the pokemon that have been burned from WoW, but then again the recovery from Wish on Torkoal and Claydol is extremely useful. However, Wish won't make Chimecho a useful staller, but it doesn't need to be.

Yeah I decided to get rid of chimecho due to it not being as bulky as I needed Dx So i'm giving into temptation, and using miltank.

EV Corner:

I personally find it more efficient (calcs prove it) to drop HP investment down to what's needed for maximum possible Leftovers recovery for walls and stalling Pokemon, since Def and Sp.Def mitigate damage better than extra HP.

Torkoal: 220 HP = 32 more EVs to play with. (Def or Sp.Atk)
Claydol: 236 HP = 16 more EVs to play with. (More Sp.Atk?)
Miltank: 212 HP = 40 more EVs to play with. (Probably Def)

As for Altaria, here's the spread I use personally- one DD lets it outrun threats like Swellow, which is VERY useful, trust me.

16 HP, 252 Atk, 240 Spd

On Cacturne, honestly... You've only got ONE Sp.Atk based move, and only 50 EVs of investment in the stat... Is Life Orb really worth that recoil in this case? A Muscle Band or an Expert Belt would likely suffice, particularly Expert Belt since this set has such good coverage. Why not try Poison Jab or Swords Dance? Sucker Punch should handle most Bugs easy enough, especially after a Swords Dance. Besides that, you've got Torkoal.

For Miltank, I'd recommend Thick Fat over Levitate, since it doesn't GET Levitate in the first place. Thick Fat will let it switch into Ice Beams and Flamethrowers aimed at Cacturne MUCH easier, and since you're now walled by Ghosts, you should run Fire Punch. That not only keeps you from being walled by Ghosts, but it helps you take care of those nasty Grass and Bug types, not to mention keeps Steel types from walling you. Besides that, you could always Toxistall.

I think you might could maybe stand to invest more in Claydol's Sp.Def, since you've got Sableye throwing around WilloWisps.

Yeah I basically just used chimecho's setup to post miltanks spreads and such...hehe...

As for your cacturne based comment, I can't just rely on other pokemon for dealing with stuff. If I rely ONLY on torkoal for taking down the bug types for cacturne, then he really isn't doing his job, which is late game cleanup, and wallbreaking. The special move on him allows me to take this team into OU twice as easy, since it shaves off well over 80% on skarmory, and with SR factored in, it is very nearly a OHKO, meaning the next hit or next switch in effectively KO's it. Poison Jab is just a general all around bad move on cacturne, especially when STAB isn't even factored into it. And expert belt could be a decent option on him, Life Orb gives me the extra needed power I need. Also, the recoil damage isn't really a factor, since cacturne isn't going to survive very many attacks in the 1st place with his pitiful base defenses.


And thank you for the EV spreads for miltank, claydol, and torkoal, i'll get started on them right away.

I've been trying that Claydol set by the way, aaaand...

... It definately needs more Sp.Atk, because even after 2 CMs, it doesn't really deal enough damage...

What's the point of 80% damage if it doesn't OHKO after a single SR switch? Most Skarm pack Roost... Just make it a 2HKO, taking Leftovers recovery into account... Then you've got more EVs to spread around to other stats.
