Time for chapter 2 =D


BuzzBee raced through the skies at a breakneck pace. They had been running on nothing more than adrenaline, but that had worn off ages ago. Finally after another 10 minutes of flying, Brian had BuzzBee touch down on land.

BuzzBee landed with a dull thud, almost instantly falling from exhaustion. Brian returned BuzzBee to his pokeball so he could get his well earned rest.

Brian sat down and began making camp using the supplies he had brought from home. He set out his tent, and set out through the nearby woods to find branches for a fire. After a few minutes of searching, he had a good-sized pile built up, with reserve sticks to the side.

"Go Smokin'Ace!" yelled Brian releasing his reliable torkoal from his pokeball.

"TOOOOOOOOOORKOAL!"

"Torkoal use lava plume," said Brian "we need a fire for dinner."

With a burst of smoke from his nostrils, torkoal stepped backwards, and let loose a steady stream of flame that instantly engulfed the branches lighting them ablaze.

After creating a rather haphazard makeshift stew, Brian released all his pokemon from their pokeballs, and they ate happily.

That night after everybody was snug in their pokeballs, Brian went into his tent and sat on the ground facing the door. He could still remember the events of the day clearly.

Walking through the halls at school, preparing to go to his geometry class. As he walked, he prayed that he wouldn't fail his test today. He approached his locker to pull his geometry book out, when he noticed a small fraction of paper in the door of the locker. Brian put in his combination almost mechanically as he did everyday. He plucked the note from the locker, and opened it up to see what was inside---

CRACK!

Brian sat up, his senses on high alert. He looked out the tent, but didn't see anything, but he wasn't going to be fooled that easily. He slowly and deliberately reached toward his belt feeling for the safety of the pokeball that contained his trusted BuzzBee.

He listened for many minutes, but didn't hear any other sounds. Then just as he was letting his guard down he heard another crack far off. He slowly pulled flygon's pokeball out of his belt pouch, and as quietly as possible creeped out of his tent. The smoldering embers from the dying fire provided the only light in the surrounding clearing. He stood up slowly and prepared to release flygon.

FWAP!

Before Brian realized what was happening, he had been pinned to the ground, and BuzzBee's pokeball was knocked out of his hand.

"I know what you're doing out here, but it's not going to work!" hissed his attacker, "you're not gonna take my pokemon as long as i'm here to defend them!"

For the first time Brian looked up into the face of his attacker, to see...a girl.

"I don't know what you're talking about," said Brian, "but I did NOT take your pokemon, and i'm not here to take them either!"

"LIAR!" screamed the girl.

"I'm not lying!" cried Brian, "i'm here to find out who attacked me today, but now I don't think I have to look much farther!"

"What are you going on about?!" screamed the girl.

Finally the girl leapt off of Brian, letting him stand. "What do you mean you were attacked?" said the girl.

"Well somebody attacked me earlier today," explained Brian, "and i'm looking for them, only there's one small problem..."

"What's that?" asked the girl.

Brian looked a bit embarassed, but said, "I don't have any leads on who did it."

"Oh I see...well to be honest," she explained, "neither do I..."

"I'm sorry," said Brian, "but I can't see anything out here."

"Go Smokin'Ace!" Shouted Brian. And with a burst of brilliant light his torkoal burst from it's ball and stretched it's legs and neck. "Use lavaplume to reheat the fire would you torkoal?"

And with another burst of orange flames the fire was rekindled. Brian finally got the chance to see his new friend. She was only slightly shorter than he was, possibly an inch or two. Her hair was a chestnut brown. She was thin like he was with green eyes. She wore jeans with a small hole near the left knee, and a red short-sleeve shirt. He also noticed she wore a yellow bracelet around her left wrist.

"My name's Shiki. Shiki Trenton." said the girl.

"I'm Brian." said Brian.

"Sorry again for attacking you," said Shiki, "I just hadn't expected to see another regular person in the woods."

"It's ok," said Brian, "but could you do me a favor and help me find my pokeball I dropped earlier?"

"Sure." she said cheerfully. "I know it fell down somewhere over here....There it is!"

Brian went over to the small ball, but when he was within 3 feet of the ball, an odd looking hand flew from the nearby bush and snatched the ball. Soon after, a man stood from the bushes with an aipom clinging to his shoulder clutching the ball in it's hand-like tail.

"Thanks for the pokeball," smirked the man, "i'm sure it will come of great use to use."

Suddenly a fearow burst through the shrubbery carrying the man and the aipom along with Brian's pokeball. Brian wasn't quite sure of what had just happened, but one thing was for sure.

His flygon...the pokemon he had raised since that day it hatched...his first pokemon that he'd been on so many adventures with...was now being stolen from him.

"BuzzBee..." choked Brian, "no...BUZZBEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

Brian collapsed into a heap on the ground. He fainted before his head touched the ground.

Later that night Brian woke up to see Shiki leaning over him. She had draped a wet washcloth over his forehead to keep him from getting a fever. When she saw him wake up, she stood back and allowed him to stand.

Before he knew it, the events of the past few hours came rushing back to him. A tear rolled down his cheek. Soon he was weeping for the loss of his most trusted friend. After a few minutes, he realized what he had to do. Without a word he stood up and checked his belt. Soon he found what he was looking for.

"Hey Shiki," Brian said, "you up for an adventure?"

Shiki couldn't supress the smile creeping up around the edge of her mouth. "You bet I am."

"Then get ready."

With a burst of light Brian's regigigas was released from it's ball. The mighty regi helped both Brian and Shiki onto it's shoulders, and began walking. Brian led it the same direction as the fearow had tooken off from earlier that night. Soon regigigas was able to break into a sprint, and before they knew it, the forest scenery was rushing past them.

"Don't worry BuzzBee," Brian told himself, "i'm coming for you buddy."

And soon the trio was nothing more than a speck on the horizon.

Chapter 4, the only short one =P

The duo remained tense waiting for the next sound to come. None did.

After nearly ten minutes of waiting the two eased their tension and returned to camp. Brian being the kind of person he was managed to think ahead enough to bring two sleeping bags in case his first one was damaged somehow. So it wouldn't be an awkward night for the two.

They both lay in the tent. Brian remained awake until he heard the steady breathing of his new friend which meant she was fast asleep. Brian tried his best to sleep, but so many thoughts racing through his head made sleep an impossibility.

The next morning Brian left the tent early and got the fire prepared. He reached into his bag and found the breakfast items he had packed. He was surprised by how much he was capable of storing in his backpack. He was able to pack 2 weeks worth of breakfast, dinner, and snack items. Unfortunately, it didn't leave room for much else. He had to keep most of his items with him in his jacket.
Shiki awoke soon after he had started breakfast.

"I wonder what that sound was we heard yesterday." she started off the day asking.

"I don't know," replied Brian, "but I don't wanna stick around to find out."

"I agree."

"My my my. How ignorant children can be these days." said a bone-chilling voice from somewhere.

With frightened eyes the pair looked up from the fire searching for where the voice came from.

From the bushes walked out a tall gaunt-looking man.

Speechless Brian knew almost instantly where he had seen the man before. The man that stole his flygon.

"Ahhhhh what's wrong children? Persian got your tongue?"

"Where's Flygon." said Brian in a deadly calm voice.

"Oh that old thing?" said the gaunt man."It should be back at the base by now."

"What Base!?" spoke up Shiki.

"Why OUR base." replied the man.

"Tell us where your base is or you'll regret the day you ever crossed me and flygon." demanded Brian.

"I suppose you deserve to at least know the location of it, but don't think i'll give you any information past that....unless...you think you can defeat me in a battle."

"Fine, bring it on."

"I shall select first." said the man.

With a burst of light a black wolf was released onto the makeshift battle field.
"Go for it Mightyena!"

Brian thought about it for a moment, then made his decision. With a burst of light starmie was released onto the field.

The man merely chuckled at Brian's choice in pokemon thinking for sure he was the victor already.

"Starmie use thunderbolt!" shouted Brian

With a crackle of yellow light, starmie brought forth a mighty bolt of lightning from the red gem on it's body. Mightyena was struck by the bolt full force. Mightyena wavered, but did not fall.

"Mightyena crunch!"

The foe mightyena rushed towards starmie jaws agape. Mightyena clamped down onto starmie, trying its best to force it into submission.

"Starmie rapid spin!"

Mightyena was clamping down so hard on starmie, it didn't have enough time to let go before starmie began spinning forcefully. Mightyena hung on as long as it could, but released it's grip falling to the ground.

Mightyena tried to get back up, but Brian was much too relentless.
"Starmie use Ice Beam!"

Starmie released a freezing blast from it's foremost star tip striking mightyena freezing him in a solid block of ice.

"Enough! I know when i'm defeated."

"Now tell me where my flygon is."

"Fine, I suppose a promise is a promise." he said with no compassion. "Your precious little flygon is located in a town known as Bright Town. Where you can find it from there is up to how much you really want him back. Well ta-ta for now children. We shall meet again."

And with a burst of light, he released his fearow from it's ball, and took off into the skies leaving the two behind.

"Found it!" exclaimed Shiki looking at her poketch. "It looks like it's only about a day and a half from where we are now, how convenient!"

"Well, looks like we're heading to Bright Town." declared Brian.

Here it is, Chapter 6 =D


The trio raced to the airport as fast as their legs could take them. They arrived within minutes out of breath, and fearing they were out of time. Breathlessy they ran to the front desk and asked the lady at the computer if she saw a man come through.

After explaining what Romulus looked like the clerk replied, "Oh yes, I did see him. He came through to find out when his plane took off."
"When did he board the plane!?" Brian practically shrieked.

"I told him the plane wouldn't leave for another 2 hours, so he left again."

"He left?" inquired Shiki.

"Yes he did, now if you have no further questions, I have more boarders to take care of."

The three exited the airport, and took a short walk to the pokecenter. Brian decided if he was about to embark on something that would no doubt be dangerous, he decided he would have his full A-Team. He found the computer at the pokecenter and dialed through to home. The first thing to greet him when it was answered was his mother.

"Where have you been!?" shrieked his mother turning a few heads in the pokecenter, "I was worried sick about you!"

"Mom, it's ok. I'm at a town called Bright Town."

"Bright town!" yelled his mother once again turning heads, "What are you doing all the way out at Bright Town!?"

"Look mom, I was attacked the other day, and i've just been trying to find my assailants. Besides i'm fine, my pokemon are keeping me safe, and my friend here is keeping me out of trouble."

"Your friend?" replied his mom, "what friend?"

And with that Shiki walked into view and Brian's mother got her first look at Shiki.

With a sly smile his mom said, "I see Brian has good taste in friends."

"MOM!" Brian shrieked a now blushing Brian turning a few heads himself.

"I'm just teasing you honey." laughed his mom, "now is there anything you need?"

"Yes mom, there is one thing I need. I need to send regigigas home, and can I get you to trade it out with my other pokemon?"
"Sure thing honey."

Brian placed regigigas's pokeball on the teleporter, and with a flash of light, it vanished. Shortly after a new pokeball appeared in it's place.

"Thanks mom." said Brian.

"Don't mention it honey," replied his mom, "you be careful. And
ummm...what's your name?"

"Shiki." replied Shiki.

"Shiki huh? You and Brian stay safe now. He has a tendency to get himself into trouble." and with a wink of her eye, the call ceased.

"I like your mom," laughed Shiki, "now what pokemon is in that ball?"
Without answering Brian threw the ball out and with a blast of light, the pokemon appeared. Standing before them, about as tall as Shiki, was a slender green and yellow pokemon. It's eyes were oddly placed with a large opening above them. There covering up the opening was a leaf, and a vine running down it's back.

"Awwww what a cute victreebel." cooned Shiki scratching the place behind victreebels ear that connected the leaf to the rest of the body. Victreebel seemed to like that.

"Is there anybody you need to call? Your dad possibly?" asked Brian.

"No, my dad's not home right now. He's at a conference."

Without a further word Brian returned victreebel to it's pokeball, and they took off once again. They arrived at the airport hoping to find Romulus. When they arrived they caught the tell-tale glimpse of Romulus's somewhat receding hairline. In hot pursuit they chased after him bumping into lots of people on the way getting many angry shouts. But they weren't quick enough Romulus took the corner to get onto his plane, and as they were catching up, an airflight attendant stopped them.

"Tickets please?"

Realizing then that there was no way to catch up with Romulus, they had to take a new approach. "We're trying to catch up with that man." said Brian.

"Why do you need him?" asked the attendant.

"He's our uncle!" Shiki chipped in quickly.

"Yeah!" said Brian playing along, "he's our uncle and he forgot one of his pokeballs."

"I'm afraid I can't let you through unless you have a ticket. Besides, i'm sure you can send it to him when he arrives in his destination."

Knowing they were beat, the two sulked away. When they got outside BuzzBee came to greet them, but seeing their downcast expressions, knew something was wrong.

"We have to catch them!" exclaimed Brian ONCE AGAIN pointing out the obvious.

Suddenly an idea sprung to Shiki. "We can catch them!" she exclaimed joyously.

"How?" said Brian now genuinely curious.

Soaring through the air as fast as the could, the golden dragon, and the emerald dragon tried their best to keep up with the retreating jet. The flight was incredibly arduos, but to their relief, they only had to fly for a mere hour. As it turns out the plane was flying towards a private airport. They circled high above out of eyesight, watching as the passengers exited the plane. When they vanished into the hangar below they dropped to the ground lightly.

Without thinking the four ran into the hangar ready to fight every one of those grunts. Instead what they found were 12 grunts blocking their entrance to the plane. And there in the middle of the grunts stood Romulus himself.

"Romulus!" barked the chairman somewhere behind them, "Keep those annoying brats busy."

Simultaneously the grunts sent out their pokemon. Before the two dragons stood 4 absol, 3 raticates, 1 slaking, and 6 Honchkrow.
"12 against 1?" asked Shiki, "seems a bit unfair."

"Your right," said Brian, "we should close our eyes."

And without another word the two yelled in unison "OUTRAGE!"

A bluish fiery glow enveloped both dragonite and flygon as they began their violent counter-clockwise, almost hypnotic attack. As they moved closer to the awaiting pokemon, they gained velocity with each passing second. Before the grunts realized what was happening, the twin dragons slammed into the opposition knocking out everything in their path. When the attack ceased, the only thing remaining standing was a slaking. Before either trainer could call out their next command, the slaking collapsed flat on his face.
Romulus stood there watching everything with an intense calmness, and wordlessly removed two pokeballs from his belt. From the pokeball came out an aerodactyl and a tyranitar.

Shiki and Brian knew this would be difficult for dragonite and flygon, so they recalled them to their pokeballs. Then they threw out 2 new pokemon. Standing on the field ready to face the aerodactyl and the tyranitar was Brian's victreebel, and Shiki's gligar now stood on the field. Brian was unaware Shiki had a gligar, but knew this wasn't the place to ask.

"Victreebel sleep powder!"

"Gligar stone edge!"

From beneath victrebel's leaf, a storm of green pollen rained down putting the mighty tyranitar into a deep slumber. Likewise a barrage of sharp stones slammed into aerodactyl. Brian was unaware of what kind of power such a small gligar could dish out. But the battle wasn't over yet.

"Aerodactyl use Hyper beam!" "Tyranitar use Crunch!"

Without warning a powerful green beam of energy flew through the dust cutting it like a knife, slamming directly into gligar. Likewise, what Brian had presumed to be a tyranitar that was down for the count was proved very wrong. Charging at victreebel was tyranitar. With massive power it clamped it's mighty jaws down on victreebel leaving him at it's mercy.

Gligar had withstood the powerful hyperbeam and looked as though he wasn't hurt much at all.

"Gligar use stone edge on tyranitar!"

More pointed stones flew through the air crashing directly into tyranitar knocking it backwards a step, and loosening it's grip on victreebel.

"Victreebel! Take the shot now! Use Leaf Blade!"

The tail-like vine on victreebels back suddenly stood rigid and began lashing back and forth repeatedly crashing into tyranitar. When the attack was finished tyranitar fell to the ground with a thud.

"Now gligar! Finish off that aerodactyl with ice fang!"

Gligar's serrated canines began glowing a pale blue as it raced towards the still re-charging aerodactyl. With bone chilling accuracy, the gligar sank it's fangs deep into aerodactyls back causing it to shreak in pain. Before the pain could worsen Romulus returned both pokemon back to their respective pokeballs.

He ran to the waiting jet, but before he entered he gave one last look back at the two children below. He had a pained expression on his face as he glanced back at the two children, and without a word he ran into the jet. Through the loud heat of battle, Brian never heard the jet start up, or the turbines winding up. Before they had a chance to blink, they were forced to get out of the way before being squashed by it.

After the jet had passed the two looked at each other wondering to themselves why Romulus had looked back. Knowing they still had to stop the evil chairman, they returned their current pokemon to their balls, and sent out their respective dragons. Exchanging one last glance at each other, they took to the skies chasing after the fleeing jet.

Hey folks, get ready for the incredibly long chapter 7 Parts 1 & 2


Time for the exciting chapter 7 you've all been anticipating =D
For those of you brave and strong enough to make it through the entire thing...you almost as brave in doing so as I was for writing it.

[size=14] The two raced through the air at a breakneck pace, but they were quickly losing ground on the plane. At this point they had no hopes of catching the plane, so instead of tiring their dragons to death, Shiki and Brian brought the two down at the nearest city. They arrived in a town called DoodleBurg. Flygon and Dragonite stood on shaky legs barely able to stand. Knowing how tired they must have been, they were recalled to their respective pokeballs.


The two went to the pokecenter hoping to cure their own tiredness as well. When they arrived a battle was going on out front. It was between two teens who obviously thought they were the coolest around.

"Go Slaking! Use Giga Impact!" The massive gorilla raced towards the opposing pokemon. Brian and Shiki were unable to see it due to slaking's impressive girth. Although they could just make out the iron clad body that peeked around the sides of it.

"Stand your ground Aggron!" Aggron stomped it's feet on the ground twice and held it's arms out ready to take the giga impact. Slaking slammed into the aggron with all it's might, but aggron was too powerful. Aggron grasped the slaking and hoisted it high into the air and threw it skyward.

"Now Aggron! Use focus punch!" Aggron began staring hard at the airborne slaking. It's entire arm began glowing a mixture of white and blue as it prepared to deliver the devestating punch. Soon the slaking began losing altitude. As soon as it was within range, aggron slammed it's steel fist directly into slaking's stomach. Slaking tried to stand, but knowing it was done for fell to the ground in a heap.

"Piece of cake." gloated the aggron trainer.

Shiki jabbed Brian with her elbow, "You should challenge him Brian, it would be good practice for you." Brian looked over at the cheering trainer, and thought for a minute.

"Is there no one willing to challenge me!?" yelled the victorious trainer.

"I will." said Brian boldly.

Assorted gasps and turned heads as everybody directed their attention to Brian.

"You think you can take me?" challenged the cocky teenager. "So be it!"

Brian checked his belt and thought for a moment. Making up his mind he selected a trusted pokemon.

"Go Cyberduck!" shouted Brian releasing his porygon2.

Porygon2 stood boldly on the battlefield facing the aggron showing no fear. Laughter arose from the teenager and the crowd as well.

"You actually think your puny porygon2 can stand up to my mighty aggron?! That's practically an insult!" the crowd roared with laughter at this.

Porygon2 wavered at the jeers directed towards it. "Ignore them Cyberduck! Focus your attention on aggron!"

Porygon2 once again turned it's attention to aggron. Aggron stared down menacingly at the fearless pink duck.

"CyberDuck use thunderbolt!" Porygon2's body became static charged as it unleashed a devestating bolt of electricity directed towards aggron. Aggron wasn't expecting an electric type attack, so it was momentarily thrown off guard, but quickly regained his composure.

"Aggron use metal claw!" Aggron rushed towards porygon2 with it's massive arm ready to strike.

"Cyberduck hold your ground!" Cyberduck braced itself ready to take the charging aggron's attack. Aggron reached porygon2 faster than Brian assumed it could, and struck porygon2 full force with it's claw.

"HA! Stand your ground! Some trainer you are!" shouted the cocky teen.

"Cyberduck use Counter!" shouted Brian. Porygon2's body began to glow until it was almost translucent. Arching it's back in rhythmic spasms, porygon2 began it's counter. Aggron didn't realize what was happening until it was too late. "Now Cyberduck! Unleash it!" With the full force of aggron's blow, porygon2 doubled the power and launched it right back at aggron. Aggron was launched into the air like a bottle rocket. The awe-inspired crowd of spectators watched as it struck the center of the battlefield.

The crowd, and the teenager, were stunned speechless. Porygon2 ceased it's glowing, and levitated back towards Brian as quickly as it could. Brian scooped up porygon2 with a grin on his face while porygon2 snuggled against his chest happily.

Finally the crowd gave a cheer. Brian went across the battlefield still holding porygon2 close to his chest. Shiki was trailing close behind. He went over to the trainer that was now trying to help his hefty aggron stand up.

"Great battle." said Brian showing his usual air of good sportsmanship.

"Yeah, that was pretty good. Sorry about laughing at your porygon2, I didn't realize how strong it was."

"It's alright, it's not the first time somebodies underestimated him." said Brian as he turned a knowing glance back at Shiki who giggled at this.


The two entered the pokemon center hoping to get their dragons back up into fighting fit conditions. After they had dropped off their pokemon, they went around the town exploring a bit. Suddenly Brian was hit with an inspiring thought. He ran to the police station hoping to get info on Romulus.

"I'm afraid that man is not here in town as far as I know." said the officer at the front desk.

Brian was now clearly sad at this comment, and Shiki noticing his expression, asked, "excuse me ma'am, where's the nearest private airport?"

Brian then realized what she was doing and perked up. "Well there isn't one here in Doodleburg, but there is one about 8 miles in the north in a town called Kindleroot."

"Thank you." said Brian and Shiki as they left the station. They raced to the pokecenter as quickly as they could hoping their pokemon were ready to be picked up.

But when they arrived at the pokecenter, bad news was waiting for them. Shiki's dragonite's left leg had been sprained from the flight. Which meant it was unable to stand, land, or take off. And Brian's flygon wasn't big enough to carry them both for 8 miles.


After stocking on food and supplies, the two left for KindleRoot. According to the officer it was 8 miles across the forest, and both knew they would need to get there quickly. They also knew they'd have to pace themselves so they wouldn't be too tired for their kindleroot invasion. So they walked.

Before too long they came across an alcove full of water type pokemon. It looked like a wonderful place to relax, but they knew they would have to move quickly if they wanted to catch the chairman. The only problem they were faced with now, was if the jet HADN'T stopped at this private airport. They had no idea how they would catch them.


They arrived in Kindleroot where they immediately raced off to find the private airport. When they ran inside, they found the person that seemed to be in charge. He was wearing a name tag, so surely that had to mean something.

After quickly describing Romulus, the man replied, "He was here. He got off one of the private jets, and left the building without a word. He caught a nearby taxi and left."

"Did you see which way it went?" asked Brian, "and how long ago was it?"

"He left about 30 minutes ago and it went right."

"Thanks!" said Brian quickly leaving the airport.

The two took off down the street hoping with some glimmer of hope that they would find where the taxi went. Before they knew it, they had covered most of the city, without knowing any way as to how they would find Romulus. Knowing they would succeed in nothing more than tiring themselves out they decided they would need to take a break. They found a relatively new bench on the sidewalk, so they sat to take their break.


Unknowing to Brian and Shiki, they had been being watched during their visit to Kindleroot. Romulus stood over the henchmen assigned to help him keep the children busy.

"Sir?" asked one of the henchmen more than a bit frightened of his boss, "Why did we have to go through this entire complicated process simply to get a bracelet from a girl? Wouldn't it have been easier to simply take the girl and get the bracelet from her?"

"You don't understand you insolent fool!" snapped Romulus, "These children mean more to me than you may very well realize!"

"My apologies sir." replied the frazzled henchmen.

"Just make sure those children are left unharmed under all circumstances." said Romulus in his trademark deadly calm voice.
"Yes sir."
