| Luxray @ Choice Scarf Ability: Intimidate Nature: Rash EVs: 118Atk, 140SpAtk, 252Speed - SuperPower - Thunderbolt - IceFang/Crunch - HiddenPower-Ground basic choice set, Rash nature to boost up its Sp Atk, with scarf it hits 358 which gives it enough speed to outrun base 110 speed pokemon like Espeon, Thunderbolt is there for stab of course, Superpower for those rock types that think they can take on Luxray, Hidden Power-ground so it won't get walled by other electric types, Ice fang is of course for the ground types like Donphan and Dugtrio while Crunch can take out pokemon like Espeon and other psychic types.

| Luxray @Leftovers -Light Screen/Roar -Ice Fang -Thunder Fang/Spark -Thunder Wave/Toxic/Charge Intimidate, Impish 204 HP, 88 Atk, 208 Def, 8 Spd Alternatively... Luxray @Leftovers -Light Screen/Roar -Thunderbolt -Hidden Power Grass/Ice -Thunder Wave/Toxic/Charge Intimidate, Impish 204 HP, 208 Def, 88 Sp.Atk, 8 Spd Physical and Special sets- both make for MAXIMUM mitigation of physical damage. Light Screen for team support and to supplement Luxray's Def with added Sp.Def, while Roar can PHaze out anything trying to set up. Spark has a higher chance to paralyze than Thunder Fang and is more accurate, while Thunder Fang has a chance to cause Flinch. Thunder Wave and Toxic are both useful for what this set does. Alternatively, Charge can boost your Sp.Def as well as your damage output with Electric attacks. SETS MADE BY SHINE!

| Back on my mono electric team I used a luxray set with some interesting enough surprise value. The only problem is if you use him outside of UU, he's gonna get raped by sandstorm, stealth rock, AND priority users like lucario and scizor... Luxray @ Salac Berry Ability: Intimidate Jolly nature 252 Atk, 204 Spe, 42 Def, 12 HP - Substitute - Howl - Spark - Ice Fang/Crunch Simple setup, but not quite so simple to pull off. Setup a sub when you're confident you can scare somebody out. Then begin howling whenever possible to boost that handsome attack stat to sky high levels. When you've activated your salac or hit +6 (Yeah right) it's time to start sweeping. Spark is your strongest STAB move unfortunately, but that handsome chance of paralyzing is a welcome addition. The slashed slot is a difficult choice to make indeed. Ice Fang provides good coverage and nails ground types like nidoqueen for super effective damage. Crunch is mainly for rotom and mismagius, but you can usually deal sufficient enough damage against rotom with ice fang. EV's If i've done my math properly, you should be capable of outspeeding timid mismagius after your salac boost. Maximum attack is fairly obvious non? 12 HP gives you the proper sub number to have your salac activated after the 3rd sub. Any remainder is in defense to help against random physical attacks. | |
