Gyarados

Call me a social reject if you like, but the other day, I pulled what turned out to be an absolutely dreadful joke. Personally, I thought it was hilarious. They didn't. An awkward silence followed. Later on, I thought 'Where exactly did that one go wrong, eh?' Aren't a ton of great jokes made in the timing of the punchline? Maybe that was a little off. But then, it could have been in the buildup TO the punchline. Those bits can be pretty funny sometimes and I messed that up just a teeny bit. I said the joke again to myself and still found it funny (yes, I laughed to myself- I do it all the time). Then I thought 'Hey, me and Magikarp are alike in SO many ways that it's uncanny!' No matter how hard they try, no one can quite take you seriously, even on a good day. But then, just when they've given up on you, you do something amazing (I'm still waiting on that one- patience, patience). But that's not the point. What the point is is... frankly, no one will dare NOT take that Magikarp seriously when it becomes a Gyarados (which is Magikarp's amazing thing, if you hadn't guessed). Grrrrr! So here's a set to celebrate Magikarp's transition to snakey, serpenty, bluey, yellowy, slightly creepy awesomeness! Hooray!

If I'm being completely honest, I am a shocking dancer. So shocking, in fact, that I usually get an entire floor to myself because people don't want to be seen near me (I'm not complaining- their loss, not mine). I'll tell you someone who can dance, though. Gyarados, that's who. Yeah baby! It's got some pretty smooth moves goin' on, but you know which is my favourite? THE BOUNCE. It likes R n' B because that's got a bit of beat. You've all done that move, right? When the rapper says something like 'bounce, bounce, bounce'? And then you bounce? Well yeah, Gyarados beats you hands down on that one.
In all seriousness, though, Bounce really helps out on Gyarados, finally giving it some Flying type STAB. The move can be used to help stall somewhat, if you shuffle between Bounce and Protect to rack up that Poison damage from Toxic. Intimidate helps it wall even more, and its Special Defence is pretty solid. EQ is your 'solution' to Steels, even though it won't hit particularly hard because of no Attack EV's. But Gyarados doesn't care. Not when it can BOUNCE like a champ. It gets the ladies, I tell ya, it gets 'em! You go Gyara!
