First team I've made for the HG/SS metagame. Still pretty standard to my style, lots of bulky Pokemon for easy switching.

First HG/SS UU Team 432
Purugly @Focus Sash
-U-Turn
-Fake Out
-Taunt
-Flail
Own Tempo, Jolly
252 Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP

This makes a better lead than you'd think. Not only can I get in free damage to stall things like weather, trickroom, Toxic or Burn damage, but I can keep leads from setting up screens, Rocks, or running Sleep Powder and such. Then I can U-Turn out and show up again later. The fantastic thing about this set, though, is surprisingly its sweeping ability. Purugly got Flail in HG/SS, and I take good advantage of it. It's saved my bleep more times than I can count, particularly late-game.

First HG/SS UU Team 429
Mismagius @Leftovers
-WilloWisp
-Heal Bell
-Shadow Ball
-Hidden Power Fighting
Levitate, Timid
44 HP, 244 Sp.Atk, 220 Spd

Staves off Fighting attacks for Purugly, mainly, but also handles Ground and Normal attacks for the rest of the team. It can set up WilloWisp on physical attackers (often saving it an extra turn to finish something off or switch out), and has a speedy Heal Bell to keep the team status-free. Works especially well against sweepers that've been locked into something like Return with a Scarf. Shadow Ball and HP Fighting have perfect coverage, and the EV spread brings Mismagius to the next available Leftovers milestone.

First HG/SS UU Team 476
Probopass @Leftovers
-Thunderwave
-Stealth Rock
-Power Gem
-Earth Power
Magnet Pull, Modest
236 HP, 20 Def, 252 Sp.Atk

Rock/Steel has lots of nasty weaknesses, but also some useful resistances which makes it a worth-while typing when used properly. Probopass's stats help make it a formidable wall in some cases, and easily forces switches with its absurd stats and typing in many cases. T-Wave slows down faster foes and makes it easier to set up Rocks, as well as Power Gem and Earth Power for relatively good coverage and some minor offensive ability.

First HG/SS UU Team 340
Whiscash @Leftovers
-Dragon Dance
-Earthquake
-Waterfall
-Stone Edge
Anticipation, Adamant
156 HP, 128 Atk, 224 Spd

Whiscash, as I've said before, is deadly after a couple DD's. It can sweep relatively well, particularly late-game. Opponent's best shot is to take it out early. Grass types still give Whiscash some major issues, of course, and he usually can't OHKO with Stone Edge until he's already had 2-3 DD's. Even then, keep away from Venusaur.

First HG/SS UU Team 272
Ludicolo @Leftovers
-Leech Seed
-Ice Beam
-Giga Drain
-Counter
Rain Dish, Bold
204 HP, 208 Def, 96 Sp.Atk

Ridiculous resistances with nifty defensive stats and still have some offensive capability? Yes please! Ludicolo walls so much, it's silly. Most Milotic and Feraligatr don't stand a chance against this thing, as well as several other Pokemon. Leech Seed provides extra healing and extra damage. Ice Beam keeps it from being walled by Grass and Flying types, while Giga Drain helps to keep its HP high, particularly against silly Milotics that think their Ice Beams will have any real effect. Counter easily KO's a lot of things.

First HG/SS UU Team 310
Manectric @Choice Scarf
-Switcheroo
-Thunderbolt
-Overheat
-Hidden Power Grass
Static, Modest
252 Sp.Atk, 252 Spd, 4 HP

Manectric got an interesting improvement in the form of Switcheroo with the coming of HG/SS, and I'm taking advantage of it. Overheat has good synergy with Choice Scarf, considering you'll have to switch out later, anyway, while Hidden Power Grass handles Water/Ground types that try to wall T-Bolt on the switch. I'm considering swapping this to Timid with Choice Specs, though, Modest with Choice Scarf owns Sunny Day teams. Manectric easily outruns Tangrowth and Exeggutor in the Sun.
