OK, i figure that with the members always asking, id make a post on how to build a team. you might hear, Oh, this is an ideal moveset...but why stop there...Team building is all about creativity. Making your own set to make an exsistent set or even a non exsistent set better/made having said that. One must still take note that not all Creations will be successful, think them through and theorize on how you will apply them. changing for say the EV spread of an exsistant move set drastically can improve the set dramatically. Here are things to look out for.

Stats

For those of you who know me, im always saying you cant always base a pokemon on it's stats. Now granted a pokemon's stats are essential to forming a moveset or even whether or not it is to be considered. But be open minded, what seems unattractive statwise at 1st may turn out to be amazing... and more attractive things like Rampardos and Absol with their huge attk stats and supporting physical movepools, are attractive indeed. But as their title suggests (glass Cannon) they are extremely fragile pokemon. where as starmie an essentialy medeocre pokemon offesnsively in stats is so well rounded sporting good typing decent stats, being high sp attk and speed and even it's defenses are amazing further more starmie has an extenstive move pool making it possibly the best water type and maybe even the best pokemon to boot (haha no....totally aerodactyl).

Move Pool

Yikes, this little sucker is the death of many stat gifted pokemon...too many pokemon have great stats, but no coverage... like a wall with no healing move...or a physical pokemon with mostly special attacks....this has forced the loss of consideration of specific pokemon. Arcanine for example is a good pokemon...however he only sports flare blitz as a STAB physical attack (and fire fang but like....) which forces recoil....this poor little guy has a cool set even having extreme speed but other than that its just another shelf pokemon...where as smeargle! a totally stat retarded pokemon with an attack called sketch being able to take any attk is able to be a pain in our colosal trainer butts. So, look out for these, make sure your pokemon have good variation and good type coverage....

Abilities

A lot of people totally underestimate what abilities can do....this can make or break a pokemon...whether it affects positively or negatively. Slaking, for example is an amazing pokemon, but has truant as an ability... making you want to think twice about using it as it becomes a lot less reliable....where as medicham...a poor pokemon in stat sports the ability pure power doubling his attack....so from ew....you may now be saying.... WTF HAX?!?!?!?!?.... >.> god came down and asked me that one once...

"and god came to cow and said....WTF HAX?!?!?!"

anyway! this thread will be continued soon enough.....
