| I knw its a bit early thinking about a Pokemon Party for Platinuum version but I have made a move set for all the Pokemon Im going to use in Platinum.
Magmortar: (Special sweeper)
Flamethrower Thunderbolt Confuse Ray Hyper Beam
Lucario: (Physical Sweeper)
Metal Claw Extremspeed Crunch Brick Break
Tentacruel: (Special sweeper)
Sludge Bomb Surf Ice Beam Toxic Spikes (So I can p*ss people off)
Alakazam: (Special sweeper)
Psychic Shadow Ball Energy Ball Recover
Pidgeot: (Physical sweeper)
Roost Air slash Faint Attack Silver Wing
Tyranitar: (Physical Sweeper)
Earthquake Outrage Rock Slide (Blank) ----------- On some Pokemon, I put down really wild moves. Like on Magmortar I put down Thunderbolt. I do that to make my movesets more diverse.
I havent decided the natures yet. I'll assign them when I have decided my movesets. (When I know for sure what there moves are going to be)

No need to....... Though Im going to take a good look at it again. And thank you for rating my team. And this is exactly why I get it rated before I go spending like 100 hours on a team that sucks!

| it shouldnt take more than 2 days to make a team (excluding breeding). plus you dont ev train or iv breed, if i remember correctly. so it should take you all of a day to level up 6 pokemon with elite4 runs. get the power items from the battle tower and pkrs if you suddenly do care about evs. plus there are probably people willing to help you with iv breeding if you need it. as far as the team itself, for playing through the story of the game it should be fine. sweepers work really well, but in the metagame you arent gonna do to well. you need some tanks and some other roles like a phazer. | |

| Diverse movesets are nice, but there's a line between wild and... not very useful. It's always fun to be different, but not if you're losing all the time. I'm gonna recommend stuff but leave your original ideas intact. - NinjaMaster wrote:

Magmortar: (Special sweeper) Flamethrower Thunderbolt Confuse Ray Hyper Beam Will-o-wisp/Focus Punch
It is very entertaining to watch the opponent's devious strategy fall to confusion hax. However, the burn status is useful as well. You have many options with Magmortar. If you decided on special sweeper (though considering it's speed, you might need a choice scarf) then the fourth move would be something that gave you more coverage, like psychic, focus blast, or better yet, Hidden Power Ice. Because your current moveset falls to OU dragons (garchomp and mence) who could come in and earthquake or set up on you. If you wanted, you could have focus punch, to put some pain on the infamous blissey. Or use Will-o-wisp to cripple the opponents physical attackers. Anyways, almost anything is better than Hyper Beam, because it gives the opponent free rein to come in and ko magmortar, or even worse, set up some stat raising move. Unless Focus Punch is used, try a modest nature. Lucario: (Physical Sweeper) Metal Claw Blaze Kick/Stone Edge/Aura SphereExtremspeed Crunch Brick Break/ Close Combat
Metal Claw has to go. It does get the STAB bonus, but it provides almost no coverage and the attack itself is pretty weak. I'd recommend Swords Dance in its place, but many Many people use that, and it takes time to set up. Instead, run a stronger move that can hit other pkmn's weaknesses. Blaze Kick hits Forretress/Skarm, Stone Edge hurts Gyara and Salamence. If you wanted to mix it up a bit, you could throw in Aura Sphere to hit Physical Walls hard. Brick Break is useful to cancel the opposition's support moves like Reflect and L. Screen, but Lucario needs more power, and Close Combat packs that punch. As for items, a Life Orb or Expert Belt would give Lucario even more power. For nature, you could go Adamant (Naughty if you decide on Aura Sphere) for power, or a speed raising nature if you want to be fast. Tentacruel: (Special sweeper) Sludge Bomb Surf Ice Beam Toxic Spikes (So I can p*ss people off) Just Pointing it out, Tentacruel makes a very good tank. Sweeping is nice, but watch out for Empoleon. lol, not very many people use it, but it walls this moveset. and Suicune stands a good chance of calm mind-ing and then beating it as well. Alakazam: (Special sweeper) Psychic Shadow Ball Energy Ball Recover Recover generally isn't used on sweepers, but maybe you can find some use for it. (healing Life orb recoil?) And watch out for steel types, they resist all those attacks. Fortunately, Most of them are dual types (for ex. shadow ball hits bronzong neutrally) but stuff like Heatran could shut this alakazam down. Consider switching recover to Focus Blast. Pidgeot: (Physical sweeper) Roost /U-turnAir slash /Return/Brave BirdFaint Attack /PursuitSilver Wing Once again, Recovery moves generally aren't used on sweepers, who are to fragile to take more than the weakest of blows. U-turn can help you "scout" what the opponent is going to switch in and can be used to your advantage. Return (with a happy pidgeot!) would be your strongest attack, it would do more damage than air slash, which i'm pretty sure is a special attack. Unless you like the increased power, but recoil effect, of Brave Bird which hits ghost, fighting, and bug types harder than return can. Faint Attack is good for hitting ghosts, but pursuit would make sure pidgeot caught any retreating prey. And i guess you mean Steel Wing as the fourth move. That hits rock types well which pretty much covers all your bases, except steel, which resists all of your attacks D= But Hey, Pidgeot is just pure pwnage and one of the original pokemon and deserves some love. and perhaps a choice band as well. Tyranitar: (Physical Sweeper) Earthquake Outrage Rock Slide (Blank) ah t-tar. Hmm, you can try Dragon Dance, Crunch, or a special attack (Ice Beam, Fire Blast...) in that last spot. ----------- - NinjaMaster wrote:

I'm no expert, feel free to take as much as my advice as you want. But it's generally hard to give advice without a more detailed explanation of the team and how it works. Purely offensive teams can be powerful (frickin' Deoxys-E and Garchomp!) but like someone above said, most teams have walls/tanks/phazers/any other supporting units. A unifying strategy helps create a team out of 6 individual pokemon, as opposed to continually throwing attacks at the other pokemon hoping that it faints.

uhh crunch on lucario? you're better off with extremespeed...
on alakazam wide lens is worthless, try the sp att enhancer i forgot which one, and bold isnt good, timid or modest
on staraptor you dont wnat liechi berry unless you are going to sub down to the berry boost, and also wheres the speed?
tyranitar doesnt need focus band, he'll basically survive any x2 and and lower
again tentacruel shouldnt have a petaya berry unles you sub down

So I think I should give him a nuetral nature and a personality that gives him speed. And I'll replace Crunch with Extremespeed on Lucario. and I guess I'll replace Wise Glasses with Wide Lens. And I'll give Alakazam a Timid Nature. I'll think of an item for Tentacruel and Staraptor... And you're right, Tyranitar does'nt need Focus Band... God I feel like such a noob.....

| lol, all the advice in the world is worthless unless you understand and apply it.
And nothing helps/improves a team like playtesting. If you win, eat a cookie and learn from your victory. And if you don't win (AKA Lose) then figure out what went wrong, change future movesets, be aware of what took down your team and fix things in general.
Also, nice revisions. I glanced over and yanks had good suggestions.
I'd like to throw in a comment about natures. (hope it's helpful) Bold raises defense, and as much as you wanted your alakazam to live, giving it a defense raising nature won't help much. Why, you ask? Because natures deal in percents (as opposed to ev's, which can raise any stat by a set amount, sort of). With Alakazam's base defense being pretty pitiful, giving it a defense nature will only raise it's defense by 10 or so. But if you gave it a special attack or speed nature (both highly appreciated on an alakazam) those stats will jump up 20 or 25 points --- because alakazam has naturally high special attack and speed, a beneficial nature helps them more than it would defense.
Blissey is the perfect example of what natures can do.
If i gave an untrained (0 iv's and ev's) Lv. 100 Blissey a Lax nature Lax = + Defense, - Sp.Def Then it's stat's would look something like this: Defense: 27 Sp. Defence: 247
However if i gave that same Blissey a Gentle Nature Gentle = + Sp.def, - Defense Then the resulting stats are: Defense: 22 Sp. Defence: 302
There's a difference of just 5 defense points. But for those 5 defense points, you gained over 50 points in special defense. Because once again, natures deal with percents, and since blissey's sp. def is so high, it gains much more from a positive nature. Alternatively, if you give a low stat a negative nature, it won't lower it by too much.
Lesson: Use natures to your advantage. More Important Lesson: Don't use Blissey.
jk, but i just don't like the fat egg. and if all these advice posts are boring, don't hesitate to tell me! ...So i can hunt you down and... jk again, i just want to help, not spam pkmn info xD

| blissey and skarmory make a near unbeatable walling duo. both have very high defense (blissey-special defense, skarmory-defense). they can switch into pretty much any attack and shrug it off with ease, then softboiled or roost off the damage. late game, just one of them can wall an entire team. (example: all your physical attackers are ko'd and blissey comes out and walls all of your special attackers. they are both amazing pokemon but they are over the top good. there has been a new rule that comes up occasionally called the skarm-bliss-cress clause which basically mean you only have one of the three "super walls" on your team. i personally find people that use them lacking creativity and rather nooby. anyone can throw skarmory, and blissey into a team and win battles based on sheer stat difference. with some careful prediction and being prepared for skarmory and blissey, it isnt hard to take them down. a well timed t-bolt (or any super effective special atk) will decimate a skarmory, and explosion can pretty much 1hko any blissey. blissey isnt really an ultimate pokemon. just like every other pokemon, it has a weak side that can be exploited. however, if it is used by a moderately skilled opponent and teamed with skarmory it can become quite annoying to take down. | |

I don't know about the "ultimate pokemon", but it can be pretty good if used correctly. The problem is, it's frequently used by n00bs, as said above. and it get's annoying. Prediction helps kill them though. If you find out it runs toxic, throw in a steel type. I love when blissey uses thunderwave, it gives garchomp a free switch in. Too bad there aren't any steel ghost types, that would shut down toxic/seismic toss, two commonly used blissey moves.
