Tutor Program 2009

It seems like there are quite a few new trainers looking for help to improve their battling. AnyTrades has run a program like this before but without much sucess due to people being tutored showing lack of interest. That said, only sign up if you really have an interest in battling (I'm sure all of you are interested though =P).

Basically what will hapen is we will get students to sign up. You will tell us what you need help with (if you have no experience that's fine too) and you will get paired with a tutor. Your tutor will help you until he/she sees that you have made noticable improvement. I'm guessing we will run the program for a couple weeks once everything gets set but we will see.

With Cowie's suggestion we will be breaking students into levels. We will try and do some class style teaching if we get a large number of students. This will also help us determine your skill level and what best to tutor you in.

Level 1- Beginner course (This level has almost no experience other than in-game battling)
Level 2- Novice course (This level has basic experience with wifi battling and understands basics of EVs, IVs, movesets and team building)
Level 3- Intermediate course (This level has advanced experience with wifi battling, can develop their own EV spreads, form unique battle strategies, just beginning understanding IV breeding, probably has some experience with UU tier battling, and can recall basic sets and commonly seen moves on most OUs and BLs)
Level 4- Senior Course (This level is well versed in advanced EV spreads, IV applications, advanced movesets and strategies, know capabilities of almost every fully evolved pokemon, able to see common situations while developing sets, beginning to become familiar with damage calculators)
Level 5- Finishing Course (This level is basicly for fully versed trainers to discuss ideas and get similar level responses)

The course levels are where you're currently at espi, in your case i'd say intermediate would be best. But if you need help working on nature choices, and EV spreads for pokemon, then novice might be the course for you

I updated the lists. We still need a lot more students. Cowie and I are planning on running class-like lectures so the more people we get in a class level the better.

We will try to run basic strategy examples for new players, devide classes and make class built teams, and run group discussions about various things. It should be a lot of fun but we need more people. If you are even a bit interested, sign up. =3
