Sprite Contest???

I was thinking that maybe we could have a sprite contest since there really isn't much to do here other than chat and trade and battle. If enough people want to, could we start a spriting contest?

I have a few ideas...

1. Mix 2 or 3 pokemon that are related to eachother (i.e. Mawile and Sableye, Skuntank and Glameow, etc.). There has to be a clear relation between the two pokemon, such as pokemon that you can only get in either game in a generation, shape, size, etc.

2. Mix 2 or 3 Legendaries. Go crazy!

3. Mix the same pokemon of a generation. However many you want.

4. Random spriting (create a sprite that looks entirely different from any other sprite, or just a different pose of another sprite)

Uhh...I don't know which one sounds like the most fun, but I think that we should choose one of them. If you want to post a different idea that you think would get both new and old spriters to join, then go ahead. Prizes I dunno about, judges can be the best spriter here (if he/she doesn't join that is).

So yeah! Anyone want a Sprite Contest?

Yeah that is true, but some of the new spriters might have a hard time creating original sprites using parts of other pokemon, but we will have to see.

0.o That sounds like fun. Maybe it would follow along the lines of creative random sprites. I think this idea can be added in to #4.

I've seen this on another site, it's very fun. We have monthly themes (ie 'Pokemon Christmas' 'Summer') and alot of people enter, there's a prize for the winner. 80x80 dimensions and no animations to make it fair to everyone.

Examples: in the Pokemon Christmas one, the winner had a Jirachi on top of a christmas tree (It's head looked JUST like a start)

The winner for the Summer contest was a suburnt Snorlax with a Ludicolo hat and bottle of soda XD

Actually, this contest ended a while back. Basically this threads dead weight now. Sorry, but maybe a new sprite contest will be held soon.
