ok guys, im Prof. cowie here to explain the in-game mechanics of pokemon.

frankly pokemon has come a long way from the past kiddy game of carefree exploration. now its also for hardcore battle and training movesets and breeding.

Ok, lets start with Natures. Natures are the foundation of your pokemon it will determine the future stats and specialties of your pokemon here is a chart of pokemon natures and influenced stats

Timid	+Speed	-Attk
Jolly	+Speed	-Sp.Atk
Naive	+Speed	-Sp.Def
Modest	+Sp.Atk	-Attk
Mild	+Sp.Atk	-Def
Quiet	+Sp.Atk	-Speed
Rash	+Sp.Atk	-Sp.Def
Calm	+Sp.Def	-Attk
Gentle	+Sp.Def	-Def
Sassy	+SP.Def	-Speed
Careful	+Sp.Def	-Sp.Atk

The simple thing is that you do not want to hinder anything you use,
It is safer instead to hinder either Attk or Sp.Attk depending on the
Moveset your pokemon uses. You want something like Adamant which is +Attk -Sp.Attk and all the attacks in your moveset would be attack based moves so you sacrifice nothing. =D

Remember these things add to the uniqueness and moveset of your pokemon have fun guys hope this helped!

I finally understand what the natures are.
I thought they didn't mean anything.
I guess that makes me a loser. hahahah

are the natures tht dont hinder or raise ur stats any good for any pokemon?

not really yanks they are basicly nuteral natures and are there kinda like for begginers or for ppl who dont understand how natures increase and decrease in there stats

not nececarily true metagross is a pretty decent pokemon in terms of variation...its sort of shallow to say adamant. for example impish would be a good nature for a walling meta maybe jolly for a fast wall or a speed 1st meta. similarly metagross is a viable special sweeper. so modest perhaps. or maybe a special up nature to add to his walling capability.

basically there is no one best nature next time you ask please leave what you want to do with the pokemon
