| SHUCKLE/ Shuckle @ Leftovers Ability: Sturdy Nature: Calm EVs: 252HP, 252SpDef, 4Def Moves: -Defense Curl -Rest -Toxic/RockSmash -SandTomb This Shuckle looks sooooo much fun to use lolz especially if you want to use it in either a sandstorm team, a BP team or a combination of both =P passing an ingrain to it and having it sit in a sandstorm makes this little guy a real beast. With 1 Defense curl it gets around 700 Def so its pretty BA so I maxed out the Sp Def since there is no moves to help boost it up, Rest to help it stall, Toxic is an option for the 3rd slot if you want to toxic stall but I know you might worry about getting walled by something like a steel type which is why I included Rock Smash you may think it will do nothing but having that chance of a defense drop especially on a Steelix is good to have :) Sandtomb for the final slot to trap the enemy and start bulking up, stalling or whatever you want to do, you must be thinking "oh this guy will never pull anything off he is completely taunt bait" well that may be true but put him in a sandstorm with all that bulk and watch the magic happen :) | |

| Wrap has five more PP and 15 more Accuracy than Sand Tomb, not to mention it isn't completely walled by any given Flying type or Pokemon with Levitate. Considering Shuckle's Spd (or lack thereof), any Pokemon with Substitute and a buff move like Dragon Dance or Bulk Up could do considerably well against this- that's why most Shuckle pack Encore, to prevent things from setting up on it. Any given Steel type should do well against this, too, as well as most Ground, Rock, and Poison types, particularly with Leftovers/Black Sludge. Shuckle's Atk stat is so low that those Def drops from Rock Smash are pretty much negligible, not even considering Rock Smash's already pitiful base power. So, like I said, consider Wrap over Sand Tomb, definitely keep Toxic, and consider Encore over Defense Curl. ... Wait... That makes Shuckle the same as a Smogon set... ... Poor thing can't really do much. Give it a shot, though. I mean, this is all for gimmicks, so try building a team for it, and we'll see what happens when you take it for a test run against another gimmick team. Good luck! | |
