This is my team for Pokemon Platinum:


Nature: Jolly Timid
Moves: Flare Blitz, Mach Punch, Rock Slide, Swords Dance. Flamethrower, Focus Blast, Calm Mind, Grass Knot.
Ability: Blaze.
Item: Wise Glasses.


Nature: Jolly
Moves: Aqua Jet, Crunch, Ice Fang, Agility, Rain Dance.
Ability: Swift Swim.
Item: Kings Rock/ Bright Powder.


Nature: Adamant
Moves: Cross Chop, Earthquake, Bulk Up, Payback, Dynamic Punch.
Ability: No Guard.
Item: Muscle Band.


Nature: Adamant Jolly
Moves: Cross Poison, Aerial Ace, Steel Wing, U-Turn.
Ability: Inner Focus.
Item: Choice Scarf/ Black Sludge.


Nature: Careful
Moves: Leaf Blade, Night Slash, Psycho Cut, Light Screen.
Ability: Steadfast.
Item: Scope Lens.


Nature: Adamant
Moves: Head Smash, Earthquake, Payback, Zen Headbutt, Avalanche/ Rock Polish.
Ability: Mold Breaker.
Item: Choice Scarf Muscle Band.

umm i'm a little confused about the 3 fighting types...also where are ur walls i dont see rampardos being used as one but maybe ur gallade is...yeah its ur gallade....maybe instead of infernape take torterra instead (its a wall and has good attack)

also i'm a little confused about ur rampardos...is it holding choice band??? if it isnt then it kinda looks like ur just throwing attacks onto it with no strategy

Ok well time to update this thing a bit more, and get in a Sp. Sweeper.

I don't think I will need another wall, since when I play in-game, I am fine with all offense.

On Crobat, you should probably go Jolly instead of adamant, the extra speed could help you out in the long run...

But his speed is already better than his attack. If I give him a good attack, that might help out in offensive perspective.

Besides I can always Scarf him (well once I get a scarf)

Now I have to think about the items I will give the other Pokes.

its pointless to scarf a crobat i agree with bri go jolly

also u dont need to scarf rampardos ur better off with choice band or muscle band

i agree with bri go with jolly and out black sludge on it for the health back

y no scarf Rampardos? It has a horrible speed and its base attack is already at 165.

Ok I guess then I might just go with a Jolly Crobat and give him Black Sludge.

well i give u an example...u send out ur rampardos and theres a poison type out...easy dead with zen headbutt...but then it sends out a faster pokemon (by the way scarf doubles speed stat so if ur speed is 125 then with scarf its 250) and the pokemon is resistant to ur last attack

Ok well I changed it now and gave him Muscle Band (since he has payback anyways and payback won't be useful with a scarf).

for the record dr, I believe muscle band only increases EV gain, I don't think it helps out in battle...or am I thinking of something else?...

Actually Brik, your thinking of the Macho Brace. That gives you double exp.

O OK nvm then, what does the muscle band do again?

Muscle Band increases Physical Attacks, I think by like 1.2% or something, but it increases power.

And Wise Glasses increases Special Attacks.

instead of payback put Rock Polish that would really help your Rampardos in speed

That was an option I was going for. But I will see. I'll put that as an option though.

I made one more change to Rampardos. Since I am going to have Machamp with Payback, I decided that I would give Avalanche to Rampardos.

I don't really have any Ice moves, so I really should be using them and Ramapardos will most likely receive damage first so Avalanche will do 120 damage.

I might consider Rock Polish if it doesn't turn out too well.
